MVIVO – Timeframe and Instalments

At MVIVO, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and delivering your home, holiday villa or cabana on budget and time. To assist you with planning and to help you understand the exact steps of the design and construction process, we have prepared an outline for our standard design range. If you are looking for a custom design, we follow a similar process, but begin with specialized design consultation with our Chartered Architects, followed by a price estimate.

MVIVO – Design & Construction process

Visit our Modelhouse on Galle Road, Colombo

On attending your first appointment you will meet and speak with your sales consultant and Chartered Architect to create a design that meets your personal requirements.

At this stage we can discuss any changes you may wish to make to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your design.

Once decided on a home design, MVIVO will provide you with a detailed estimate and an options list.

Site Inspection Report

Once you have decided you would like to proceed with a MVIVO home, our Chartered Architect, Structural Engineer and our Site Superintended will visit your site to evaluate the proposed orientation, site access, location of site-connections and any other requirements.

The Site Inspection Report is part of the pre-contract stage. At this point, a deposit is required (click here to view pricing plans), so we can complete preparation work including site inspection, architectural drawings and BIM preparation and your BOQ for costing. The information collected during the site inspection is required to finalise the design and confirm all aspects of pricing so we can provide you with a fixed costing. Our team will help you to ensure the construction experience is efficient and hassle-free as possible.

Purchase Agreement

When specifications have been finalized, we will draft the Purchase Agreement. Once the contracts have been signed and a down payment of 30% has been received, we will apply for the building permit. Our admin team will manage the arrangement of the building permit and approvals for you. We will also be in regular contact with the council to ensure the planning process is completed as quickly as possible.

Manufacturing & Assembly

Once the building permit has been issued, the construction phase starts at our production facility in Kimbulapitiya. Our customer care team will provide you with regular updates on the progress of your home and you are welcome to call in at any time to see your new home taking shape.

Our production team will construct your new home to approximately 80% completion with a few minor aspects left to finalize onsite. In the weeks prior to the construction phase, our Project Manager and our Site Superintended will take care of the site preparation ready for installation of your home.

Installation on site & Finishes

Your home is transported to site by our experienced delivery team and installed onto the prepared foundations. The last 4 – 6 weeks of construction take place on site, where we will add the finishing touches to your new home along with any decks and carporches or optional extras you may have chosen.

Enjoy your home

We will make a final inspection of your home together, to check all details are completed to your satisfaction.

Then the home is handed over to you
